Metlox Block - Manhattan Beach, California



CHA has partnered with Tolkin Group of Pasadena, a national leader in downtown “Main Street” development, having won a RFP competition in December 1998 on a 3-acre site in downtown Manhattan Beach.

Metlox Block is located just two blocks from the beach and has ocean views. The proposal consists of 20,000 s.f. of retail and restaurants, a 40-room bed & breakfast-style inn and 15,000 s.f. of creative loft/office space all surrounding a public town square, that will be built over a subterranean public parking structure.

The project architect is the firm Moule & Polyzoides of Pasadena.

Status:            Signed exclusive negotiation agreement.
                     DDA approved on August 21, 2001.
                     EIR certification on April 17, 2001.
